This garment is fun to knit, OR CROCHET. The original idea i found on the back of a 1996 holiday program. I can remember several of us playing with it then. My original item from it was a headband. Which I have been wearing since. The mobius is a mathematical concept of a never ending loop with a 180 * twist. this twist happens when your circular knitting is joined. Not by doing an entire twist, that is where the fun of figuring out exactly what is happening comes in. I think I taught at least 6 times through before I figured out what is happening. and it IS very simple! I am wearing it with the one twist in front. A smaller version makes a neck cozy, an even smaller a headband. With a size 17, 29 inch long circular needle, or size Q hook, 200 yards complete the Mobius.
